5 Fun Things to do this Mother’s Day

And maybe a few martinis afterwards…

It’s been a Mother’s Day trend for as many years as we want to count but as the Sydney autumn is stunning with dry weather and sunny days, we’ve put together a list that goes beyond breakfast in bed (and all the crumbs that come with that.)

A Picnic by the Beach

Who doesn’t like cheese and charcuterie…With so many beautiful spots overlooking the water on the Northern Beaches, including our very own local Mona Vale Beach, it’s a perfect excuse to get out in the sun. Pack the essentials like cheese, prosciutto, crackers, a baguette, quince, some chocolate and probably a bottle of wine and it’ll be a spread that Mum will adore.

A Movie Night In

The Holiday, Ten Things I Hate About You and Legally Blonde come to mind as our top picks… Like a picnic on the beach, food is very much a big part of this being done right! Popcorn, Malteasers, sour worms and maybe a red wine or two should do the trick. (Looks like there’s also a wine trend on this list…)

An Art Class

Wine and Watercolour, life drawings, brush and sip – the trend is on fire!  Our Wine and Watercolour class is held on the last Wednesday of every month. Book now and you can also enjoy $1.50 oysters afterwards.

A Wine Tasting or Cooking a Feast Together

This is another one you don’t need to leave the house for! Grab a few friends and everyone’s Mama Bear (maybe Auntys and Grandma and whoever else wants to join), choose a few bottles you’ve been itching to try and you’ll have a lovely evening with your nearest and dearest.

Nothing hitting the spot? Lunch at Park House…

We have a beautiful 3 course shared banquet with dishes like Cali guacamole, harissa spiced chicken and slow cooked lamb. Every Mum booked in gets a glass of Piper Heidsieck on arrival and a Palm Beach Collection candle to take home to make the day extra special.
